Beyond Perceptions servers are located in data centers that have multiple network connections to different
Internet backbones, allowing data to be distributed though many sources - meaning that the Beyond Perception
network is not dependent upon any single Internet backbone.
Beyond Perception servers are equipped with full redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression,
network connectivity, PowerWare UPS battery backup power, onsite permanent generator power, and security. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system in both
facilities including VESDA (very early smoke detection apparatus) along with over 600 smoke detectors.
Security is also a concern for Beyond Perception and our customers so all facilities
are key card access with CCTV for maximum security. All visitors to the data centres must check in and out
of the facility.
The data centres internal network architecture is a complete Cisco product and is a Cisco Certified
Network. It utilizes Cisco 7500 and 7200 routers as border routers, Cisco 6500 series switches in its
distribution layer, Cisco 6500 and 5500 switches in its aggregation layers, and Cisco 3500 and 2900
series switches at the customer layer. The network is fully meshed and redundant with 6 backbone providers.
The current network consists of ATT (OC3), UUNet (OC3), InterNap (2x100Mbps), Qwest (1Gbps), and Cogent
Communications (5x100Mbps). Please see the network diagram below.
